Chagrin Falls Stadium:
The Chagrin Falls High School stadium utilized several of Allied’s services including concrete repair and patching, painting, traffic coating, caulking, beam repair, demo and replacement of stairs and hand railings. Allied worked closely with the architect and the owners to develop the unique techniques necessary to restore a structure built in 1913. Allied removed concrete stairs and footings along with steel/wood stairs, and patched the concrete at areas that were affected by stair demolition.Allied removed metal hand railing, any loose leveling compounds, and traffic coatings. Allied’s crew also painted any area where the traffic coating overlaps on the vertical wall. Allied then installed three new sets of galvanized steel steps with handrails that were painted by Allied’s experienced paint crew. We also installed new pipe railings that were painted by our crew, and glass was then installed to the front of these pipe railings. We performed concrete repairs to the East and West railings along with repairs needed at areas where the existing stairs are demoed. After removing windows on the North, South, and West side of the building we installed new stud walls in the openings with cement plaster, and paint. The unique access challenges required the use of several different types of equipment. Fortunately Allied owns and operates their own fleet of lifts and scaffolding.
